Apex Systems, a World-Class Technology Solutions Provider, is seeking a Portfolio Manager for a hybrid role in Orlando, FL. This 12-month contract role focuses on forecast planning, capacity planning, and long-term investment planning across a large technology portfolio.

You will partner with Finance, Product, Project, and Technology teams, delivering portfolio reporting and leadership insights. The position demands Excel mastery, SDLC understanding, and the ability to manage competing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of portfolio, financial planning or project management experience.
• Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with project planning, resource/capacity planning, issue management.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience partnering with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong business communication, writing, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own forecast planning across a large-scale technology portfolio.
• Partner with Finance on variance analysis, monthly and quarterly close activities, and financial updates.
• Analyze and resolve forecast and planning variances across project and product teams.
• Develop and maintain reporting for capacity planning, prioritization, and forecast rationalization.
• Support long-term, annual capital, and operating planning activities.
• Maintain accurate portfolio data within the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) system.
• Identify and elevate portfolio risks, impacts, and opportunities.
• Prepare reporting and presentations for leadership.
