Job summary

eCapital is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager in New York to oversee a client portfolio, manage daily funding activity, and monitor risk and collateral performance within approved terms and policies.

The role drives proactive portfolio management, supports recovery efforts, and collaborates with collateral and support teams to maintain asset quality and deliver on financial objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–7+ years in portfolio management, asset-based lending, or credit risk.
• Strong understanding of collateral structures and funding operations.
• Proven ability to analyze financial statements and monitor risk indicators.
• Experience engaging with clients to manage performance and influence outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Makes daily funding decisions.
• Reviews daily transactions for accuracy and risk; takes action.
• Monitors collateral reporting, borrowing base compliance, and client performance.
• Prepare and present portfolio reporting and risk assessments to leadership.
• Engage regularly with clients to discuss performance and opportunities.
• Support workouts, restructures, and remediation efforts.
