Job summary

Altruist is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the Portfolio Reporting Experience, turning complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for advisors and clients. You will own the strategy and roadmap, working with Product, Engineering, Design, Customer Success, Market Data, Compliance, and Product Marketing to expand the value delivered to advisors.

This role is a hybrid position based in San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Dallas, requiring customer empathy, quantitative thinking,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience in fintech or data-intensive environments.
• Strong financial acumen and interest in investment concepts.
• Experience with financial/market data and communicating quantitative concepts.
• Experience with modern product discovery and product delivery practices.
• Familiarity with market-data providers such as Morningstar is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategic direction and long-term roadmap for Altruist's portfolio reporting experience.
• Develop deep understanding of advisors, end clients, and investment-management workflows.
• Build quantitative understanding of product efficacy, customer needs, and demand for new capabilities.
• Lead product discovery through user interviews, market research, and product analytics.
• Translate complex financial concepts and data workflows into simple, accurate product experiences.
• Partner with Engineering and Design to ship high-impact products testing clear hypotheses.
• Maintain a focused product backlog and maximize speed, quality and impact.
• Evaluate reporting requirements, data dependencies, and vendor capabilities.
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Market Data, Compliance, and other partners to manage risk.
