Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Portfolio Specialist to join our Credit Review team in the United States. This role works with Portfolio Manager(s) to establish and execute risk-based coverage for portfolios, leading examinations and transaction reviews.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with risk and regulatory partners, and help prepare quarterly reports. The role offers strong career development and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 - 10 years of commercial credit experience
• Solid understanding of counterparty credit risk concepts
• Ability to support conclusions through fact-based analysis and influence senior leaders
• Excellent credit analysis, project management and leadership skill
• Experience in risk management, lending and/or regulatory agencies
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple complex tasks while delivering high quality results
• Data manipulation and analysis skills
• Experience with leading without authority
• Bachelor's Degree with a preference in finance, accounting, economics or other business concentration

Responsibilities

• Participates in exam activities and/or periodically serves as an Examiner-in-Charge, Assistant Examiner-in-Charge or Examiner
• Performs transactional testing of credit process execution for new and existing clients
• Provides assistance on portfolio reporting and engages in stakeholder discussions
• Tracks and follows observations from exams and testing
• Provides regulator updates on results, and responds to inquiries
• Engages with Corporate Audit to ensure ongoing awareness of review activity
• Manages issues, including severity ratings, action plans, and status tracking
• Drives continuous improvement through projects
• Produces high-quality, timely work
• Maintains well-written work papers per guidelines
