Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior Portfolio Analyst to actively analyze, manage, and provide strategic expertise to portfolios of complex initiatives.

You will enable enterprise portfolio management with data integrity, reporting, and risk management across intake, pipeline, and delivery, while driving improvements and supporting leadership decisions. Hybrid-Flex options apply with a competitive total rewards package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
• 5+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Monitor portfolio performance metrics and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Translate data into observations and implications for action.
• Analyze project financials and monitor budget and funding risks.
• Monitor projects to ensure value delivery and manage dependencies.
• Support portfolio reviews and leadership updates.
• Prepare executive status reports on portfolio health.
• Communicate risks, issues, and solutions to stakeholders.
• Provide backup support for Portfolio Leaders during absences.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost enterprise efficiency.
• Serve as SME for portfolio tools and promote tool usage.
• Train and coach others.
