Job summary

LaSalle Investment Management seeks a Senior Portfolio Accountant to lead the accounting and reporting for debt portfolios under LaSalle Debt Investors (LDI). The role reports to the Portfolio Controller and focuses on financial analysis, reporting accuracy, and process optimization using AI tools.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting, and preferably a CPA. Strong Excel skills and willingness to work extra hours are important in this role.

Qualifications

• CPA designation strongly preferred and CPA in the future progression.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think creatively and independently develop solutions.
• Extremely organized multi-tasker with great attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; working knowledge of AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
• Prepare consolidation files for quarterly reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Lead AI-driven process improvements across accounting and reporting.
• Review monthly financials and NAV packs.
• Coordinate quarterly and annual reporting and tax requirements.
• Coordinate with Treasury on cash transactions.
• Perform quarterly financial analysis and report performance returns.
• Respond to client inquiries accurately and professionally.
