JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for designing and developing innovative POP displays and packaging solutions that meet customer objectives. The Sr. Structural Designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, customer service, manufacturing, and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes in a fast-paced environment. The role also involves implementing best-in-class optimization and efficiencies in the design and manufacturing processes. Staying up-to-date with software, industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative materials is essential to incorporate cutting-edge design elements into the process.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION

1. Work with Sales Representatives and customers to develop creative solutions.
2. Interact with customers as required.
3. Champion continuous process improvements to meet evolving customer needs and enhance productivity and profitability.
4. Mentor and develop emerging talent within Vanguard’s Creative community.
5. Provide conceptual structural solutions to meet client objectives.
6. Work with various mixed medium materials to deliver innovative solutions.
7. Complete routine and complex structural design projects, sometimes under tight deadlines.
8. Prepare structural design files for prototypes, mock-ups, die lines, and bill of materials.
9. Maintain and generate project records according to company policies.
10. Establish goals, track results, and ensure design integrity, quality, and productivity.
11. Ensure compliance with Vanguard standards and customer commitments daily.
12. Adhere to brand guidelines, retail regulations, style guides, and industry standards.
13. Monitor and follow creative quality control procedures.
14. Promptly communicate and address all customer feedback.
15. Advise customers on design solutions.
16. Build effective cross-functional relationships to ensure successful collaboration across departments.
17. Proactively provide creative solutions to current and potential customers.
18. Maintain effective time management and scheduling.
19. Attendance is an essential function of this role.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in design or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in POP Display, corrugated structural design, and packaging industry.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in ArtiosCAD software.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented mindset.

• Experience with Salesforce, HRMS, TaskRay, Webcenter.
• Experience in corrugated packaging.
