Job summary

City of Hampton seeks a senior pool lifeguard to ensure safety at community pools this summer. You will lead by example, supervise staff, and assist with planning and coordination of lifeguard operations.

Requirements include 3+ years lifeguard experience, current lifeguard certification, and training in disease transmission and oxygen administration within 30 days. Background checks required, with preferred WSI/LGI credentials.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum of three (3) years of lifeguard experience at a public pool or beach.
• Must possess a current Lifeguard Certification from a nationally recognized organization.
• Must complete Preventing Disease Transmission and Oxygen Administration training within 30 days of employment.
• Background check required before offer or promotion (18+).
• American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) and Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) preferred.
