Job summary

Ohio Sleep Medicine Institute – Dublin, Ohio seeks a senior Polysomnographic Technician to review sleep studies, provide protocol-based feedback, and support sleep center operations under supervision of the Sleep Medical Director. This role emphasizes independent work and strong collaboration.

You will maintain CPR/BLS, participate in QA, and advance patient care while adhering to HIPAA and AASM standards in a fast-paced sleep center.

Qualifications

• RPSGT credential required.
• Training in PSG, CPAP/Bi-Level titration, MSLT, and MWT required.
• One year sleep technology experience preferred.
• Mentoring or peer feedback experience preferred.
• AASM-accredited laboratory experience.
• Experience with complex titration studies (Bi-Level, MSLT, MWT).
• Proficient in EMR documentation and sleep study scoring software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Critical thinking and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Uphold HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
• Working knowledge of AASM standards and payer coverage for complex sleep testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive sleep testing and analysis, including PSG, CPAP/Bi-Level titration, MSLT, and MWT, under supervision.
• Provide education to sleep patients using center protocols.
• Review sleep study scoring and provide protocol-based feedback.
• Comply with safety, infection control, and HIPAA/privacy requirements.
• Care for sleep study equipment and manage inventory.
• Participate in the quality assurance program.
• Coordinate repeat testing with ordering providers when needed.
• Adhere to center policies and professional standards of conduct.
• Assist leadership in sleep center operations.
• Maintain CPR/BLS and complete CEUs yearly.
• Escalate complex issues to leadership as appropriate.
