Job summary

Anthro Energy is seeking an experienced polymer R&D innovator to lead synthesis and development of new polymer chemistries for the Proteus electrolyte platform, advancing safety and energy density in lithium-ion batteries. In this hands-on role, you will partner with cell engineering, manufacturing, and electrolyte teams to translate discoveries into manufacturable concepts, designing experiments and scale-up plans for concept validation.

Ph.D.

Qualifications

• PhD in Polymer Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science with 3+ years of industry R&D (or MS with 5+ years).
• Deep expertise in polymer synthesis and characterization, and structure–property relationships in electrolytes, adhesives, elastomers or related fields.
• Experience with electrolyte chemistry, batteries, or electrochemical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop new polymer synthesis processes in-house for electrolyte value propositions.
• Design experiments to demonstrate new performance concepts.
• Translate project goals into strategic experimental plans and execute with high-quality results.
• Interface with vendors and contract manufacturers for materials procurement and scale-up.
• Document work through SOPs and contribute to procurement of lab equipment.
• Collaborate with cell development, electrolyte, and manufacturing teams to scale from R&D to production.
