Job summary

The California ISO is seeking a senior policy professional to lead regulated cost-of-service analyses, infrastructure policy development, and interagency engagement. You will prepare filings, white papers, and briefing materials for CPUC and FERC, translating complex rules into actionable policy positions.

This role emphasizes collaboration across departments, stakeholder engagement, and rigorous economic analysis, with a hybrid or on-site schedule and relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in economics, public policy, engineering, business or related field.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced policy work.
• Experience in regulatory cost-of-service and public utility rate design.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze policies related to transmission planning and infrastructure development.
• Lead stakeholder processes and prepare filings (CPUC/FERC) and board memos.
• Provide guidance on regulatory strategy and cost-of-service principles.
• Mentor staff and coordinate cross-department teams on policy initiatives.
