Job summary

Framatome in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead our PMO, standardize governance, and oversee a portfolio of commercial engineering projects in the nuclear industry. This role requires strategic oversight from initiation to close, ensuring scope, budget, and quality objectives are met.

You will mentor junior PMs, refine PMO processes, manage project financials, and ensure compliance with rigorous nuclear standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field; minimum 10 years of related experience, including 6+ years in project management.
• Nuclear power industry or related technical field experience required.
• PMO experience and framework development preferred; PMP certification is a strong plus.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Project and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain, and enforce PMO governance, frameworks, and templates.
• Lead complex, high-impact commercial projects from initiation to close.
• Define and forecast resource skills; optimize material and personnel allocation.
• Serve as primary liaison between project teams, senior management, and clients; regular reporting.
• Drive continuous process improvement and mentor junior PMs.
• Oversee project financials, including invoices and change orders.
• Ensure compliance with nuclear industry standards and regulatory requirements.
