Job summary

The CHH Group in Thousand Oaks is seeking an experienced Commercial & Industrial Construction Project Manager to own projects from preconstruction to closeout. You will manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client communications across commercial and industrial TI, office, and retail builds.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of PM experience with a GC background, robust leadership skills, and the ability to drive projects end-to-end within a fast-paced Southern California environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Project Management experience in commercial and/or industrial construction.
• Strong preference for candidates from a commercial General Contractor environment.
• Proven experience independently managing construction projects through the entire lifecycle.
• Experience with Tenant Improvements (TI), white box/build-outs, office, industrial, and/or retail construction.
• Strong understanding of drawings, specs, contracts, scheduling, budgeting and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and industrial construction projects from A to Z including preconstruction, startup, execution, turnover and closeout.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, cost controls, forecasts and overall financial performance.
• Lead subcontractor bidding, scope review, buyout, contract negotiations, and coordination.
• Coordinate with Superintendents and field personnel to maintain schedules and quality.
• Review drawings, specs, RFIs, submittals, change orders, POs and other docs.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors and others.
• Manage procurement and ensure materials/equipment align with schedules.
• Conduct regular project meetings and communicate progress and issues.
• Identify and resolve scheduling, cost, constructability, quality and subcontractor issues.
• Maintain client relationships and ensure expectations are met.
• Oversee closeout, punch lists and turnover; assist with estimating and preconstruction as needed.
