Job summary

Wharton-Smith, Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a Commercial background to oversee all phases of construction from scope development to closeout.

You will manage schedules, budgets, safety, and quality, lead client relationships, coordinate with architects and subcontractors, and drive value engineering and cost control to deliver multimillion-dollar projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or other relevant degree.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Five plus years of experience in engineering, construction, or related field.
• Proven success in multimillion-dollar projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all stages of construction from scope development to closeout.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, owners, architects, engineers and subcontractors.
• Set up and maintain project cost accounting and job schedules.
• Coordinate value engineering, bidding processes, and proposal generation with Preconstruction.
• Review subcontractor pay applications and manage change orders.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, and safety on site and report progress weekly.
