Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Core Compute to define the product strategy for Akamai's compute offerings and connect hardware layers with developer experiences. You will oversee the compute lifecycle, including hardware assessments and features within the cloud platform's virtualization layer.

You will gather requirements, drive the roadmap, and work with sales and marketing to promote products, analyzing KPIs and margins to maximize profitability.

Qualifications

• 12 years of experience in product management or development within cloud, virtualization, server infrastructure.
• Technical expertise in virtualization concepts, multi-tenant cloud architectures, hypervisors, and CPU/IO hardware.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence hardware engineering and software development stakeholders.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code ecosystems, cloud capacity lifecycle management, and Linux systems architecture.
• Strong ability to understand, define, and communicate the business and technical value of deeply technical cloud primitives.
• Deep relationship-building skills and experience collaborating with customers and technology partners.
