Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Core Compute to define and guide product strategy for compute offerings.

You will connect hardware layers with developer experiences, ensuring compute instances provide value beyond traditional cloud providers. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, manage the compute lifecycle, and synthesize feedback to prioritise development while driving KPIs, revenue and profitability.

Qualifications

• 12 years of product management experience in cloud or virtualization.
• Strong technical expertise in virtualization concepts, multi-tenant architectures, and CPU/IO hardware.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives with hardware and software teams.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, cloud capacity lifecycle, and Linux architecture.
• Ability to articulate the business and technical value of cloud primitives.
• Strong relationship-building with customers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Gather, document, and communicate business and technical requirements.
• Defining and executing the product strategy, roadmap and deliver against the product plan.
• Fostering connections with cross-functional teams, such as sales and marketing, to promote products and gather feedback for ongoing success.
• Analyzing operational metrics and trends to manage and maximize product KPIs, revenue and profitability, building business cases and margin analysis.
• Becoming the trusted expert in alternative cloud infrastructure trends, bare-metal innovations, and the competitive market landscape.
• Synthesizing feedback and prioritising development.
