Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Manager for an on-site role in the automotive manufacturing sector. The candidate will lead critical initiatives, drive improvements in production processes, implement new technologies, and ensure successful launches of vehicle models at East London facility.

The role requires extensive experience in Lean/Six Sigma, APQP, and cross-functional team leadership, with a focus on quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing) or related field.
• 7+ years in project management within automotive manufacturing.
• Proven track record delivering complex manufacturing projects and launches.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, APQP, and related methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and delivery of complex automotive projects.
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, timelines, budgets and risks.
• Manage cross-functional teams of engineers, production and quality staff.
• Oversee implementation of new manufacturing technologies and processes.
• Ensure quality, safety standards and production targets are met.
• Manage vendor relationships and material/equipment delivery.
• Provide regular status updates to senior management.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Foster effective stakeholder communication.
• Ensure successful product launches and smooth integration of new processes.
