Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a leading automotive manufacturing facility in East London, Eastern Cape. You will oversee strategic manufacturing and operational improvement projects, driving efficiency, new production technologies, and high-quality output across cross-functional teams.

You will manage complex timelines, budgets, and risks, ensure adherence to IATF 16949 and quality policies, and report to plant management and corporate leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• Master's degree is a strong advantage.
• 7+ years in project management, with 4+ years in automotive.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of automotive manufacturing projects.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, and resources to meet objectives.
• Oversee implementation of new production lines, process improvements, and tech upgrades.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to achieve goals.
• Ensure adherence to automotive standards (IATF 16949) and quality policies.
• Identify and mitigate project risks including technical and supply chain issues.
• Manage stakeholder communication with plant management and corporate leadership.
• Oversee procurement and contract management with suppliers and service providers.
• Drive change management for adoption of new processes and technologies.
• Monitor performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
