Universal Audio in Scotts Valley, CA or remote within the United States is hiring a Senior Product Manager for a dual‑mandate role. You will own the software backlog and sprint cycles for a dedicated Agile team while leading the roadmap and business case for a line of professional audio hardware.

You will collaborate with hardware, software, and operations teams to align schedules, cost trade‑offs, and go‑to‑market plans, ensuring timely deliveries of features and product launches.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated Product Owner experience on a scrum team with backlog ownership and story writing.
• Technical fluency to converse with engineers about drivers, firmware, and hardware requirements.
• Excellent written communication, precise specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Proven ability to balance hardware roadmap with software commitments and schedules.
• Experience in cost trade‑offs, lifecycle, and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Own backlog and sprint plans for a software team (~50%).
• Translate hardware and business requirements into software specs with clear acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate software delivery with hardware milestones and release plans.
• Manage bug triage, releases, and documentation handoffs to customer care and publications.
• Define analytics events and reporting to measure feature adoption and impact.
• Own hardware‑software requirements for a line of professional audio hardware (50%).
• Oversee supplier lifecycle, cost-down opportunities, and vendor management.
