Job summary

City of Pasadena, TX is seeking a Building Technician V (Plumbing) to perform master/journeyman level plumbing tasks, install gas lines, service heating/cooling systems, and install and maintain a wide range of fixtures and pipes. You will prepare estimates, complete reports, and ensure compliance with license requirements.

The role requires a Texas Master/Journeyman Plumbers License, a HS diploma, and a valid Texas Driver's License, with preferred Back Flow and forklift certifications.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience in the plumbing trade.
• Current Texas Master/Journeyman Plumbers License.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair plumbing heating systems.
• Install gas lines in buildings and service heating/cooling systems.
• Install and maintain lavatories, commodes and water heaters.
• Install pipes, valves, drains, basins, tubs, faucets, lavatories and fixtures.
• Prepare estimates on time and materials for a job.
• Complete daily work order reports and related paperwork.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on sump pumps.
• Assist annual inspections and testing.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Two years' experience in the plumbing trade

Texas Master/Journeyman Plumbers License

Texas Driver's License

Back Flow Certification

Fork lift certification provided by the City

First Aid Certification
