Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Mechanical (Plumbing) Engineer for advanced facilities projects. This geographically flexible role within the US involves 10‑20% travel.

You will lead and deliver plumbing system design, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and may provide on‑site startup support, ensuring quality, schedule, and client satisfaction. The role requires a PE license, 10+ years of experience, and strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and PE license.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering and plumbing design in complex facilities.
• Extensive on-site field experience with industrial plumbing systems.
• Strong communication and analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of IPC and international plumbing standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or participate in projects delivering mechanical/plumbing design for industrial facilities.
• Ensure schedule and technical quality; manage scope, budget, and schedule with clients.
• Provide on-site support during startup and coordinate with design professionals.
• Mentor junior team members and share best practices within the discipline.
