Job summary

B&I Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Plumbing Foreman to oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems on construction projects.

You will supervise crews, enforce safety protocols, read plans, and coordinate with project managers to keep work on schedule. With five years of commercial plumbing and journeyman leadership, you will mentor apprentices, ensure code compliance, and contribute to project success across large-scale commercial jobs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of commercial plumbing experience, including journeyman-level work and leadership skills.
• In-depth understanding of plumbing codes, commercial systems, blueprints, and construction methods.
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, and scheduling practices.
• Proficiency with plumbing tools and trade math.

Responsibilities

• Foster a culture of quality, integrity, safety, and teamwork.
• Supervise and coordinate daily crew activities to ensure safety and productivity.
• Attend weekly job site meetings in-person to address constraints.
• Read and interpret plans, blueprints, submittals, and job orders to determine methods and requirements.
• Plan, organize, and assign tasks to utilize labor, equipment, and materials effectively.
• Maintain records including timekeeping, logs, safety documentation, and labor tracking.
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with codes, safety standards, and specs.
• Coordinate with project managers and other trades to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
• Provide hands-on training and mentorship to apprentices and journeyman plumbers.
