Energo is seeking a seasoned professional to lead the Plumbing & Fire Suppression unit in NYC. The role emphasizes navigating strict building and environmental codes while managing inspections and project progress.

The candidate will coordinate with regulators, oversee installations and repairs, and train staff to broaden capabilities. A strong regulatory background and team orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in a similar role with NYC regulatory exposure.
• Experience leading field inspections and reporting for gas systems.
• Knowledge of NYC building, gas, and fire codes and filings.
• Ability to interpret architectural plans and coordinate with teams.
• Strong teamwork and client-relations focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform mandated NYC Local Law 152 field inspections for code compliance.
• Schedule, manage, and perform NYC gas inspections; file with authorities and obtain signoffs.
• Conduct gas leak surveys using approved methods and equipment.
• Respond to gas shutdowns; coordinate with utility and NYC DOB to restore service.
• Train Energo staff to perform gas-related work and expand capabilities.
• Oversee fire suppression division: piping installation, repairs, and upgrades.
• Coordinate inspections and approvals with NYC DEP, DOB, and FDNY.
• Ensure project progress from planning to completion and ensure compliance.
• Review plans; manage client relationships, procurement, and quality control.
• Comply with NYC Building, gas, and fire codes; install backflow devices as needed.
