Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in consulting or design-build firms.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in New York is preferred.
• Experience with NYC public agencies is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop plumbing and fire protection specifications for projects.
• Lead coordination of plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and size fire protection equipment.
• Conduct construction administration and field investigations.

Skills

Experience in plumbing and fire protection engineering

Knowledge of New York State and City building codes

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to use Microsoft Office

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
