Job summary

Modigent is seeking a Service Estimator III - Plumbing to prepare accurate, timely estimates for commercial plumbing service and construction work. With 10+ years in the field, you will handle complex scopes, partner with service and operations teams, and support winning proposals for repairs, replacements, retrofits, and related plumbing projects.

You will convert site conditions, drawings, and customer requirements into competitive pricing while upholding profitability and contract compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial plumbing experience, estimating, field work, or combo of both.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Office-based role with site walks; safety-sensitive environment.
• Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, materials, methods, and codes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for commercial plumbing service and construction work.
• Walk jobs, review drawings/specifications, and build estimates from field findings.
• Price labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and related costs with focus on accuracy and profitability.
• Coordinate with vendors and Service Technicians to gather scope details.
• Prepare professional proposals and supporting documentation for customers.
• Track estimate status and support handoff to operations after award.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and value opportunities before pricing.
