Modigent is seeking a Service Estimator I - Plumbing to support the Service Department by preparing accurate, timely, and profitable pricing proposals for HVAC/Plumbing service, repair, maintenance, and replacement projects. You will partner with technicians, customers, and vendors to develop competitive estimates and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree in HVAC/mechanical systems preferred.
• 1–4 years of experience in HVAC/Plumbing service estimating, inside sales, or related role.
• EPA 608 certification a plus; valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Prepare precise and competitive cost estimates and pricing proposals for HVAC/Plumbing service projects (repairs, maintenance, and replacements).
• Collaborate with Service Technicians to gather job details, scope, and site-specific requirements.
• Ensure all proposals comply with contractual, regulatory, and company standards.
• Engage with customers to understand needs, provide pricing information, and address inquiries.
• Work with vendors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure material availability.
• Create professional proposals and manage communications using Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple estimates in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and customer interactions.
• Continuously learn HVAC/Plumbing equipment, materials, and estimating best practices.
