Job summary

Elevate Consulting Engineers PLLC is seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineer for a full-time, remote role. You will lead plumbing design for diverse projects, size and layout domestic water, sanitary, storm, and specialty systems, and prepare drawings, specs, and calculations while coordinating with internal teams and clients.

You will review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, support construction administration, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Plumbing and Plumbing Design for building projects.
• Experience in Water Supply system design and distribution strategies.
• Experience with MEP coordination and interdisciplinary Building Services design.
• Familiarity with IPC, UPC, and local plumbing codes.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and calculation software for hydraulic calculations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work remotely and manage multiple projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; PE license or eligibility preferred.
• Experience in consulting engineering and client-facing work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead plumbing design for commercial, residential, and institutional projects.
• Develop plumbing system concepts, sizing, and layout.
• Prepare construction documents: drawings, specs, calculations.
• Coordinate with internal MEP engineers, architects, and clients.
• Review shop drawings and RFIs; support construction administration.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to guidelines and QC.
