Job summary

McClure Engineering in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a Plumbing Engineer with 4-7 years of MEP experience to support project teams from field investigations to construction documentation. You will design domestic water, sanitary, storm and specialty piping, review drawings for quality, and coordinate with designers, drafters, and engineers.

Under supervision, you will perform field inspections, develop calculations, and communicate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in MEP Engineering, emphasis in plumbing and fire protection.
• Familiar with IPC and UPC.
• System design and layouts for potable and non-potable materials.
• Experience with storm, sewer and laboratory waste products.
• ASSE 6060 Med Gas designer certification desired
• Fire Protection, fluent in layouts of fire protection
• Knowledge of Process Utilities: Clean water, Reverse Osmosis Deionized Water, softened waters

Responsibilities

• Solve problems of a complex nature, in both the design and construction phases of the project.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical Drafter/Designers on the production of construction documents (drawings and specifications)
• Design and develop plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, storm, and specialty piping systems.
• Collaborate with multidiscipline teams
• Research commercially available equipment and selecting equipment appropriate for project/client needs
• Perform field inspections to verify existing site conditions
• Capacity to work independently and exercise sound judgment
• Learn multiple engineering calculations to be implemented on multiple projects
• Provide excellent communication to stakeholders and team members
• Build relationships with industry professionals through networking and company activities
