Job summary

LaBella Associates in Ithaca is seeking a Junior Plumbing Engineer in the Building Engineering division to support plumbing and fire protection design on diverse projects.

You will work with a team to develop design concepts, perform code analysis, and coordinate with other disciplines while providing technical support and client communication. This role offers growth toward leadership within the office.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Fire Science is preferred.
Strong writing, organizational and communications skills.
New York P.E. license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop plumbing and fire protection concepts, strategies, and construction documents.
Design plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm and related code reviews.
Perform egress analysis and smoke modeling as required.
Coordinate with multi-discipline teams on large projects.
Engage with clients to analyze options and communicate results.
Contribute to project financial performance and scheduling.
Assist in business development and proposal writing.
