Job summary

LaBella is hiring a Senior Plumbing Engineer for its Building Engineering division across multiple New York offices including Rochester, Albany, Buffalo, Ithaca, Poughkeepsie, Syracuse and White Plains.

The role leads a fire protection design team, supervising staff and coordinating multi-discipline projects while delivering fire sprinkler and fire alarm system designs, code analyses, and construction documentation. Strong leadership and client relations are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience with a professional A/E services firm is preferred.
• Strong writing, organizational and communications skills.
• New York Professional Engineer’s License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise fire protection engineering staff to develop concepts, strategies, documents and reports.
• Develop a fire protection group focused on system design and code services.
• Design and manage fire protection systems including sprinkler and alarm systems.
• Perform code and egress analysis for new buildings and renovations.
• Lead business development and client relationship activities.
