The Role We Want You For
The Senior Plumbing Engineer will work with in-house Development, Architecture, and Construction teams to provide plumbing engineering/design and quality assurance on projects for our nationwide clients.

Projects include life science, distribution, industrial manufacturing, food and beverage, and other industrial markets, involving existing building improvements and new construction.

The Specifics of the Role

• Lead plumbing engineering design, analysis, and oversee entry-level plumbing engineers and/or designers.
• Serve as the responsible in-charge for plumbing systems, addressing questions and making decisions during design, contractor, and client meetings.
• Develop plumbing designs and specifications based on building codes, engineering principles, and industry standards, aiming for cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure plumbing designs meet budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Manage multiple projects of varying sizes and complexities effectively.
• Perform plumbing calculations for system layout and sizing.
• Create clear and concise plumbing specifications, focusing on cost and constructability while meeting client needs.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in conceptual design, schematic design, and full construction documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license with the ability to obtain licensure in multiple states.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant plumbing engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks; familiarity with Bluebeam.
• Strong understanding of IPC/UPC and IBC standards.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Effective collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong motivation for technical and personal growth.
• Good time management and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
