Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group is seeking a Senior Plumbing Designer to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. You will design plumbing systems for industrial facilities, perform critical calculations, and develop construction drawings in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of mechanical engineering experience in industrial environments, ABET-accredited degree, and proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks. On-site work and travel up to 20% are required.

Qualifications

• ASPE CPD certification is highly preferred.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• 6+ years of mechanical engineering experience with plumbing design for industrial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of Uniform and International Plumbing Codes.
• On-site field experience in industrial plumbing installations.
• Experience in GMP/cGMP facilities is a plus.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD; Navisworks experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design plumbing systems for manufacturing facilities (domestic water, sanitary, storm, gas, lab gases, fire protection).
• Perform calculations for pressure loss, pump head, fixtures, and water heater sizing.
• Develop construction drawings: plans, risers, details, schedules.
• Review vendor submittals and develop specifications.
• Conduct on-site assessments and construction progress visits.
