Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group seeks a Plumbing Designer to join our US team. You will design plumbing systems for manufacturing facilities across multiple industries, collaborating with senior engineers and clients to deliver high-quality solutions.

The role requires at least six years of relevant experience, knowledge of plumbing codes, and proficiency with Revit, Excel, Word, and Outlook. Travel to project sites may be required as part of project installation and startup activities.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of plumbing design experience for industrial or commercial facilities.
• Knowledge of model national plumbing codes, and state/local plumbing codes.
• Experience with design calculations for piping, drainage, and fire protection systems.
• Proficiency with construction drawings and specifications; RevIT familiarity assumed.

Responsibilities

• Support capital projects for clients both individually and in teams.
• Design plumbing systems (water, sanitary, storm, gas, lab gases, fire protection) for manufacturing facilities.
• Perform pressure-loss, pump head, fixture unit, and related calculations.
• Develop construction drawings for water, sanitary, and storm systems with notes, risers and details.
• Interpret codes and standards; review vendor submittals; support RFIs and site visits.
