Job summary

Moseley is seeking an experienced Plumbing Designer to join our MEP team in Maryland. The role spans multiple project sectors with responsibilities in calculations, design, layout and specifications for commercial and institutional plumbing systems.

5+ years of design experience, a 4-year Engineering degree, and strong Revit proficiency are required. Hybrid work after onboarding and competitive benefits accompany a salary range of $80,000–$110,000.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of plumbing engineering design experience preferably with large institutional or commercial projects.
• B.S. in Engineering from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience; ASPE-CPD preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of REVIT and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Expertise in IPC and local codes; NFPA 13 familiarity preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving ability; able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of plumbing systems for various project types, including water distribution, sanitary, and vent systems, as well as drainage and gas systems.
• Prepare detailed construction drawings and piping diagrams using Revit.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, regulations, and project specs.
• Manage design tasks and schedules; coordinate with Project Managers on scope and timelines.
• Collaborate with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, civil and food service disciplines.
• Research and interpret building and plumbing codes and client standards; prepare documentation for code submissions.
