Assists with all facets of work to ensure that journeymen plumber personnel are adequately trained and aware of workplace policies, procedures and applicable codes.* Investigates and schedules plumbing requests for PHHS to determine what work is required. Determines work priorities and assigns work requests to appropriate personnel. Answers questions concerning plumbing systems, duties and policies.* Inspects installation of plumbing system and fixtures installed by contractors to ensure code compliance and PHHS requirements are met.* Inspects, repairs and installs plumbing fixtures including pipes, valves, faucets, toilets, showers, pumps, and other items to ensure that all systems are operating safely and efficiently.* Monitors, labels and repairs natural and medical gas lines according to established procedures to ensure that piping is safe and operational.* Adheres to established safety regulations and guidelines to ensure that repairs are carried out in an effective and safe manner.* Assists and communicates with contractors, engineering and other Parkland staff to provide the information and support required to keep Parkland systems operational.* Documents and maintains records of installations, repairs and preventive maintenance operations according to established policies and procedures to ensure that accurate documentation is maintained and made available for reference.* Performs advanced preventive maintenance functions on plumbing and piping systems to ensure that the number and frequency of system failures is kept at a minimum.* Trains and assists new and entry level workers as needed to ensure that staff members are capable of performing assigned job functions.* Identifies ways to improve work processes and improve customer satisfaction.
