BRENHAM ISD is seeking a skilled plumber to maintain and repair district plumbing systems across facilities in Brenham, TX. Under supervision, you will assemble, install, and service pipes, fixtures, and related equipment.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a Texas journeyman plumber license, and a valid Texas driver’s license. The position emphasizes safety, accurate record-keeping, and collaboration with school staff to complete projects.
Under general supervision, maintain the flow and drainage of water, air, and other gases by assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures districtwide. Maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of all plumbing systems in district facilities.

Tools/Equipment Used: Plumbing tools and equipment including pipe bender, propane torch; hand tools; power tools; heavy equipment including forklift, trencher, backhoe; light truck or van.
Posture: Frequent standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/ stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting; work in tiring and uncomfortable position.
Motion: Frequent walking, climbing stairs/ladder/scaffolding, grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, and overhead reaching; frequent driving.
Lifting: Heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds and over) on a daily basis
Environment: Work outside and inside, on slippery or uneven walking surfaces; frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust, toxic chemicals and fumes, noise, vibration, and electrical hazards; workaround gas lines; work around machinery with moving parts; may work in tight or enclosed spaces; may work alone; regularly work irregular hours; occasional prolonged hours; frequent district-wide travel.
