Senior PLM Product Manager — AI-Driven BOM & Change

Job summary

Avathon is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own Product Lifecycle Management on the Avathon platform. You will shape the product roadmap, align with engineering, and drive PLM integration with ERP, MES, and asset data in our AI-enabled knowledge graph.

You will engage with engineering, sales and customers to define requirements, shepherd AI-driven features to enterprise clients, and deliver measurable improvements in change management, BOM synchronization and digital thread.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product management with at least 4 years owning a PLM module
• Experience with PLM vendors (Teamcenter, Windchill, Arena, Agile/Fusion PLM) or leading PLM at a large manufacturer
• Deep understanding of BOM management (EBOM/MBOM), engineering change, variants, and configuration management
• Experience shipping AI/ML features to enterprise customers
• Experience in automotive, aerospace, defense, semiconductor equipment or industrial manufacturing
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or CS; MBA or MS is a plus

Responsibilities

• Define strategy, roadmap and priorities for PLM on the Avathon platform
• Know the market and key PLM systems and map where an AI layer adds value
• Decide which PLM connectors and data models are core product
• Define how PLM data feeds Planning, Logistics and asset maintenance
• Write clear requirements and acceptance criteria for engineering and AI teams
• Run sprint planning and release reviews with the engineering lead
• Make trade-offs on scope, quality and timing, and communicate to leadership
• Build product documentation, release notes and field enablement
• Track adoption and value metrics such as BOM sync latency and change cycle time
