Job summary

East Penn Manufacturing is seeking a PLM Solution Architect to drive the strategic design and governance of PLM systems across engineering, manufacturing, quality, IT and product management. You will lead architecture decisions, data governance, and integrations to ERP, MES, CAD, and CRM while guiding change management and digital engineering initiatives.

The role partners with multiple functions to standardize processes, optimize product lifecycle workflows, and deliver scalable PLM solutions

Qualifications

• Typically, more than 10 years of Engineering experience.
• Knowledge of product development processes and engineering change management.
• Experience in manufacturing and product development environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical owner and architect of the PLM ecosystem.
• Define and maintain PLM strategy, roadmap, standards, and governance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and IT to align PLM with objectives.
• Lead enterprise PLM implementations, upgrades, migrations, and optimizations.
• Design and maintain architectures for product structure, BOM, docs, changes, and config.
• Define integration strategies between PLM and ERP, MES, CAD, CRM, QMS, and DW.
• Develop and maintain PLM data models, workflows, security, and business rules.
• Support engineering change management processes and approvals.
• Establish data governance for accuracy, traceability, compliance.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance digital product development.
• Lead requirements gathering and solution design for new PLM functions.
• Prepare technical presentations, training materials, and updates.
• Standardize business processes across engineering/product teams.
• Provide guidance to technical teams and administrators.
• Participate in project reviews and digital transformation initiatives.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
