Job summary
Helion Group is seeking an experienced Senior PLC & VFD Controls Electrician to troubleshoot and optimize industrial production lines. You will work on Siemens S7 logic, adjust ABB/WEG/Siemens drives, and coordinate motor swaps with maintenance leadership to minimize downtime.
Expect hands-on electrical and mechanical work on 480V equipment, 4,160V, and 13.5kV systems, with strong collaboration with operators and maintenance peers to keep lines running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Expert-level electrical troubleshooting in industrial environments.
- Advanced PLC background, especially Siemens S7; familiarity with multiple PLC platforms.
- Proven VFD parameterization, communication setup and performance tuning.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot complex controls and electrical problems across an industrial manufacturing facility.
- Navigate, diagnose, and edit Siemens S7 PLC logic; cross-platform PLC familiarity a plus.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and cross-reference VFDs (ABB, WEG, Siemens, etc.), including PLC-to-VFD communication.
- Work across electrical distribution from 480V to 13.5kV systems; 80% of work on 480V equipment.
- Perform complete motor replacements, handling electrical and mechanical aspects.
