Job summary

Helion Group is seeking an Industrial Electrical Technician to support a state-of-the-art steel facility near Huntington, WV. The role focuses on maintaining automated systems, troubleshooting high-voltage equipment, and commissioning new machinery.

Responsibilities include PLC troubleshooting (Siemens S7), VFD configuration, motor control, and interpretation of electrical/hydraulic schematics. The candidate should work closely with operators to minimize downtime and uphold safety protocols.

Qualifications

Industrial electrical maintenance in heavy manufacturing environments.
Advanced PLC troubleshooting including Siemens S7 logic changes.
Experience with high-voltage systems above 480V.
VFD troubleshooting and parameter configuration across major brands.
Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics and interpret drawings.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical equipment and automated systems.
Diagnose PLC-to-VFD communication issues and drive faults.
Perform motor replacements including mechanical and electrical installation.
Assist with commissioning and startup of new machinery.
Follow lockout/tagout and high-voltage safety procedures.
