Job summary

OSI Recruit is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, commission, and troubleshoot automation and control systems for industrial equipment. The role emphasizes PLC/drive system design, SCADA development, CAD documentation, and hands-on commissioning.

The position requires 8+ years in design, commissioning, troubleshooting, and/or operations of PLC process and control systems, with travel internationally around 35% and a willingness to be on the floor with technicians.

Responsibilities

Develop, design, maintain, and commission automation and control systems for Industrial Equipment.
Design and program logic for PLCs, drive systems, and combustion control systems.
Develop SCADA and operator interface applications.
Design databases and write custom programs for PLC/SCADA interfaces.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components; diagnose and resolve issues.
Create project manuals and electrical schematics using CAD.
Develop scope of work, cost estimates and budgets for electrical systems.
Gain in-depth knowledge of SCR systems, fluid systems, metallurgy, maintenance and material handling.
Assist with on-site commissioning and transfer know-how to SCR customers through training and startup assistance.
