Job summary
KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an experienced PLC Programmer to design, configure, and commission industrial control systems for mission-critical data center projects in Sterling, VA.
The role emphasizes hands-on work with Logix-based programming, HMI/SCADA development, and industrial networking to ensure safe, reliable operation of complex systems. Travel and collaboration with construction teams are typical.
Qualifications
- 3–7+ years PLC programming experience.
- Strong hands-on with industrial PLC platforms.
- Proficiency with Logix-based programming software.
- Experience with ladder logic and structured text.
- HMI/SCADA development experience.
- Solid knowledge of EtherNet/IP and industrial networking.
- Experience supporting startup and commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Develop PLC programs using Logix software and configure PLC controllers.
- Troubleshoot and modify PLC programs during installation and commissioning.
- Integrate PLC systems with HMI/SCADA and BMS/EMS where applicable.
- Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and commissioning teams.
- Prepare documentation and maintain revision control for software.
