Job summary

Carrier via Automated Logic seeks a Lead PLC Field Engineer to deliver complex PLC-based control systems in Sullivan, Indiana. You will own end-to-end startup, commissioning and issue resolution, guiding teams across disciplines and engaging with customers to ensure successful project outcomes.

The role requires strong PLC programming, field leadership, and hands-on expertise with Rockwell Automation platforms, Ethernet/IP networks, and BAS/SCADA integrations. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• 4+ years in Controls, Industrial Automation, HVAC, Electrical Systems or Industrial Networking.
• Valid driver's license and insurability.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at height.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead PLC Field Engineer for Sullivan, IN projects from mobilization through startup, commissioning and acceptance.
• Provide daily onsite project execution, field coordination, startup support and commissioning readiness.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of PLC-based systems and network integration.
• Program, commission, troubleshoot and optimize Allen-Bradley PLC systems.
• Review architecture, design and documentation to ensure quality and safety.
• Mentor and develop mid-to-senior PLC field engineers and provide training.
