Job summary

Ferrara DeKalb is seeking a Senior Mechanic (PLC/Control Tech) to lead troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of automated packaging equipment. You will diagnose complex issues, program control systems, and ensure food-safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities include maintaining high-speed equipment, performing PMs, and supporting continuous improvement while complying with GMP and safety policies. Strong PLC skills and Rockwell experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of maintenance/repair experience in manufacturing.
• Preferred 3+ years PLC troubleshooting/programming experience.
• Associate degree in Maintenance/Mechatronics or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and optimization of automated packaging equipment.
• Install new machinery and utilities between machines using tools and test equipment.
• Repair electrical systems, transformers, motors, and wiring; test and diagnose faults.
