Job summary

C&F Packing Company Inc. is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Mechanic to keep high-volume production lines running safely and reliably.

You will troubleshoot and repair blending and cooking equipment, packaging lines, and refrigeration systems, while supporting change-control and GMP compliance. Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in industrial maintenance within food/packaging sectors, with strong PLC literacy (Allen-Bradley/Siemens), hydraulics, pneumatics, and CMMS usage.

Qualifications

3-5+ years as an industrial maintenance mechanic/technician in food, beverage, packaging, or process manufacturing.
Hands-on troubleshooting with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs/HMIs; able to read ladder logic and navigate diagnostics.
Proficiency in hydraulics and pneumatics, including reading schematics and component replacement.
Industrial electricity and controls, including VFDs, sensors, and panel wiring.
Experience with ammonia (NH3) systems; IIAR/PSM/RMP familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintain & repair production equipment including blending and cooking systems.
Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on packaging lines and ovens.
Diagnose faults with hydraulic/pneumatic systems and electrical controls.
Maintain backups of PLC/HMI programs and document changes per change-control.
Assist with operation and maintenance of ammonia-based refrigeration systems.
