Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in the United States seeks an experienced QA Automation Engineer to design and maintain Playwright-based automation frameworks, develop Python scripts, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines using VS Code.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot), cross-browser testing, and scalable, modular frameworks for regression and in-sprint testing in banking/financial domains.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software testing experience with strong focus on automation.
• 7+ years of hands-on automation development experience.
• Strong experience with Playwright automation framework.
• Hands-on coding experience in Python for test automation.
• Experience using Visual Studio Code as primary IDE.
• Experience with Playwright CLI / Command-line driven test execution.
• Proven experience building and maintaining automation frameworks (Modular, reusable, scalable).
• Solid understanding of API Testing and UI automation strategies.
• Experience in PyTest or similar Python-based testing frameworks.
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines and integrating automation into build workflows.
• Experience in AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot).
• Experience in in-sprint automation strategies.
• Familiarity with cross-browser and cross-platform testing approaches.
• Deep understanding of SDLC and QA lifecycle.
• Domain knowledge of banking/financial systems.
