Job summary

Landing Gear Technologies (LGT) is an FAA-Certified Repair Station specializing in repair and overhaul of aircraft landing gears. We seek a Plating Technician to perform maintenance, machining, and plating activities on civil aviation components, following FAA/EASA instructions and manufacturer data.

You will operate degreasers, sandblast equipment, and prepare parts for plating while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate in English.
Experience operating equipment and performing machining per technical drawings.
Experience in FAA/EASA Certificated Repair Station operations.
Chrome plating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and alteration tasks, including machining operations on civil aviation articles per technical data and FAA/EASA guidance.
Ensure familiarity with tools and equipment and keep records of work performed.
Train to identify and match parts by part and serial numbers; operate crane system.
Prepare parts by masking or stop-off for plating and sandblasting; perform sandblast operations as required.
Perform non-electrolytic processes like Alodine and passivation on small parts; handle chemicals per safety guidelines.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist in tanks and accessories cleaning.
