Job summary

Cricut is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Platform Infrastructure to own the architecture, reliability, and scalability of our AWS infrastructure. You will collaborate with engineers to shape the platform's roadmap and drive best practices for security, cost, and scalability.

This senior IC role requires a strong software background, AWS expertise, and comfort with AI-assisted development tools. In-office presence is expected most of the week, with a focus on reliability and scale.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in software eng or site reliability roles.
• AI-forward mindset with AI-assisted tools and prompts.
• Strong backend microservices experience; .NET a plus.
• Deep AWS expertise and core services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM).
• Experience with IaC and reliability improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture, reliability, and scalability of AWS infra.
• Collaborate on roadmap and technical strategy for platform infra.
• Lead security, cost management, and scalability best practices.
• Promote infrastructure-as-code across teams and projects.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate delivery and reliability work.
• Oversee monitoring, incident response, and blameless postmortems.
• Define and track SLOs/SLIs for production systems.
• Mentor engineers in reliability and infra practices.
