Job summary

Glocomms partners with a leading global HPC infrastructure company to hire a Senior Platform Security Engineer in Dallas. The role focuses on strengthening security across HPC, cloud, and platform environments, embedding security into the software delivery lifecycle.

The candidate will drive vulnerability management, threat modeling, and real-time security monitoring, collaborating with platform engineering, DevOps, and software teams to secure infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Platform Security, Security Engineering, Infrastructure Security, Cloud Security, or related discipline.
• Experience securing large-scale infrastructure, cloud platforms, HPC environments, or highly distributed engineering systems.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, OpenStack, AWS, Azure, Linux administration, container orchestration, and cloud-native technologies.
• Proven experience managing enterprise vulnerability management programs with tools such as Qualys, Tenable, Wiz, Prisma Cloud, Lacework, or similar.
• Deep understanding of infrastructure hardening, secure configuration management, container security, application security, and cloud security best practices.
• Experience building automation solutions and security tooling using Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages.
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, GIAC, GPEN, GWAPT, GCSA, AWS Security Specialty, or equivalent security credentials are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and improve platform security controls across HPC, cloud, and bare-metal environments.
• Own vulnerability management activities: assessment, scanning, triage, remediation, and reporting.
• Build and enhance real-time security monitoring, threat detection, runtime protection, and visibility across engineering platforms.
• Partner with platform engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, and software teams to embed security in architecture and processes.
• Conduct threat modeling, attack surface analysis, risk assessments for critical systems and services.
• Drive cloud-native, container, and software supply chain security across Kubernetes, OpenStack, AWS, Azure, CI/CD, and IaC.
• Develop automation, detection engineering, and security tooling using Python, Bash, Go, and modern security platforms.
