Job summary

Skydrop is hiring a Senior Platform Security Engineer to secure its infrastructure through service hardening and foundational tools. The role involves building security controls for AWS and Kubernetes environments, along with maintaining access controls and designing internal security services. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in Information Security and strong software development skills in Python or Go. This position offers a hybrid work model, with responsibilities handled in person at the New York City office twice a week, and a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $200,000.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Information Security, SRE, or Systems Engineering.
• Strong software development skills in Python or Go with experience building production services.
• Solid experience with AWS, including familiarity with IAM roles, VPCs, and native security controls.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain security controls for AWS and Kubernetes.
• Support IAM initiatives by helping to design and maintain access controls.
• Design and deploy internal security services that other engineering teams rely on.
